Abundance Paint'n Sip Fundraiser | Chicago, 2024

On April 28th, Tru Relief, supported by our board member and Friend of Relief, Kiah Sandler, hosted the "Abundance Fundraiser" in Chicago, USA. This event was a resounding success, bringing together community members, artists, and supporters to learn about our mission and goals.

The day's activities were diverse and engaging. Attendees had the chance to interact with eight renowned artists from the community, including Kahari Blackburn, David Ellis, King Moosa, AJ, Amoz Ben Wright, Gabriela Bosquez, and Hailey M. Losselyong. These artists shared their experiences and insights during art talks, fostering a deeper understanding of their work and the community's needs.

The event was elevated by the live music of DJ Allis, creating an enjoyable and lively atmosphere. Chef Nia Mahone provided delicious catering, ensuring everyone was well-fed and satisfied.

A highlight of the fundraiser was the Paint n' Sip session led by Hailey M. Losselyong. Participants had the opportunity to unleash their creativity, guided by professional artists in a supportive and inspiring environment.

To add an extra layer of excitement, the attending artists generously donated pieces of their artwork for a raffle. This gesture not only enriched the event but also provided an opportunity for attendees to take home unique pieces of art.

Thanks to the generosity of our attendees, we raised over $1000. These significant funds will support our ongoing mission of bringing relief to organizations that uplift their communities. The success of the Abundance Fundraiser demonstrates the power of community and the importance of supporting one another in our shared goals.
